Flowset Vision

Flowset evolves continuously. Specific features may change, but our long-term vision stays the same. We believe that business process automation should be operated the same way as modern software systems

BPM-Ops Principles

DevOps revolutionized software delivery. BPM-ops does the same for business processes.

Flowset applies proven DevOps practices to business process automation.
You get shorter release cycles, fewer errors, and continuous improvement of operations.

Core BPM-ops Principles:
  1. Everything as a code: models, forms, business logic, infrastructure
  2. Continuous Integration & Delivery of Business Processes
  3. Monitoring and fast feedback loops
  4. Change management
  5. Process insights and performance tracking

Engine Agnostic

Flowset supports Camunda 7 and compatible forks. Our long-term goal is to support BPM engines from multiple vendors, creating a unified operations tool chain for BPM teams regardless of which engine they use.

Developer Friendly

Being a company that created a bunch of products for developers, we strive to provide first-class developer experience.

Interoperability

Flowset integrates seamlessly with existing dev tools, and CI/CD pipelines, connecting the entire process lifecycle into a coherent BPM-Ops toolchain instead of isolated components.

Modular Design

Flowset consists of loosely coupled, purpose-built modules that can be adopted independently or combined as a full BPM-Ops platform, allowing teams to start small, scale incrementally, and integrate only what delivers immediate value.

Open-source

Flowset is built on open-source BPM technologies and contributes back to the community, giving teams transparency, flexibility, and freedom from vendor lock-in while remaining enterprise-ready.

FAQ

  • I use Camunda 7 webapps. What's wrong with them?

Nothing is immediately broken, but they are no longer safe or sustainable to rely on. Camunda 7 has reached end of life. This means no bug fixes and security patches. If something breaks in production, you’re on your own.

  • We have Camunda Admin, Cockpit, and Tasklist. Does Flowset have an alternative for each of them?

Yes, Flowset has a tool which corresponds with Camunda webapps:

    1. Flowset Control - Camunda Cockpit
    2. Flowset Tasklist - Camunda Tasklist

On top of that, Flowset Studio adds BPM features to your IntelliJ IDEA.

  • Should I pay for Flowset?

You don’t have to. Flowset offers a fully functional free edition that can replace Camunda 7 web apps for most teams. If you need advanced enterprise features, you can upgrade to Flowset Enterprise. Compare editions and decide what fits your needs on the pricing page.

  • Is Flowset open-source?

Yes — where it matters most for operations. Flowset Control and Tasklist are open source. Flowset Studio is provided as a free, proprietary tool.

  • Where is business data stored? How does the platform connect to it?

Flowset supports any data source, whether existing or designed for a specific project. We recommend using Jmix for quick creation of complex data-centric applications.
